From Survival to Success: The Jamie Goode Story
Wednesday, May 21, 2025 | By: Jamie Goode Studios
I was born and raised in a small town in East Texas—a place that taught me how to be strong before I ever had a chance to just be a kid. At just 12 years old, my world was shattered when my mother was kidnapped. In that moment, childhood ended. I was forced to grow up fast, to survive trauma most people can’t imagine, and to keep going even when everything around me felt broken.
Lost and alone, I ended up with someone—not out of love, but out of desperation. I needed someone, anyone, and that led me into an abusive relationship. I fought to stay alive, to protect my children, and to keep moving forward even when it felt impossible. I buried my dreams for a long time while I fought just to exist.
But photography was always in me. It was my first love. My mother gave me my first camera when I was six years old—and from that moment, I knew it was what I was meant to do. Through all the pain, photography stayed a quiet light in my heart. And eventually, that light became my fire.
I built Jamie Goode Studios from the ground up—with grit, faith, and a deep belief that I was meant for more. I worked tirelessly to heal, to create, and to build a life rooted in purpose and passion. Now, my business is thriving, and I’m finally living the dream I had to put on pause for so long.
Today, I’m not just a photographer—I’m a survivor, a mother, a creative, a businesswoman, and a woman who turned pain into power. In five years, I see myself continuing to grow—personally, creatively, and spiritually. I see peace. I see joy. I see success on my terms.
“She didn’t just survive East Texas—she emerged stronger. And her story is far from over.”
