Hello, friends and fellow photographers!

I am beyond excited to announce something that’s been in the works for a while now—my very first Photography Workshop coming in 2025! 🎉 Whether you're a photographer looking to level up your skills or a model/actor seeking to understand the art of photography from the other side of the lens, this workshop is designed with YOU in mind.

Why You Should Attend

Photography is an art, a science, and a skill all rolled into one. In this hands-on workshop, I'll be diving into key elements of photography that often leave many confused or unsure, especially when it comes to perfecting portraits, headshots, and branding shots. I’ll be covering camera settings, lighting techniques, posing tips, and the crucial differences between headshots and branding photography.

But that’s not all—I'll be joined by an incredible co-host/model/paid actress who will help you gain real-world insight into working with or as the professional talent. For the models and actors in the group, you’ll get personal coaching on how to work the photographer, perfect your poses, and gain confidence in front of the lens.

What We’ll Cover

Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect during this workshop:

1. Understanding Your Camera

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned photographer, mastering your camera is essential for taking great photos. We’ll go over:

• Camera settings: Learn about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and how to use them to your advantage.
• Lens selection: Discover the differences between prime and zoom lenses, and how to choose the right one for each shot.
• Manual Mode: Understand how to shoot in manual mode, giving you full creative control over your images.

2. Mastering Lighting

Lighting is EVERYTHING in photography. We’ll work with natural light, studio strobes, and reflectors to teach you:

• How to use light to create mood and dimension.
• The difference between hard light and soft light, and how to use each effectively.
• How to use lighting setups for different looks: from simple, clean headshots to more dramatic, artistic portraits.

3. Posing Like a Pro

Getting your subject to look natural, relaxed, and confident in front of the camera can be tricky. In this section, you’ll learn:

• Basic posing techniques for both individuals and groups.
• How to direct your models to get the most flattering angles and expressions.
• Tips for helping your clients feel comfortable and at ease during the shoot.

4. Headshots vs. Branding Photography

There’s often confusion around the difference between headshots and branding photography, and this is something I’ll break down in detail. Here’s what we’ll cover:

• Headshots: The key elements of a professional headshot—framing, expression, and lighting.
• Branding Photography: How to tell a story through imagery for personal branding or business. We’ll talk about using props, location, and styling to create cohesive branding images that reflect your client’s vision.
• The unique differences between shooting for business or personal purposes, and how to adapt your approach.

5. Working with Models & Actors

For those of you who want to dive into portraiture with professional models, I’ve got you covered. I’ve invited a fantastic co-host/model/paid actress who will help guide you through the process of working with talent. You’ll learn:

• How to communicate effectively with models and actors to get the best shots.
• Tips for directing them with confidence to achieve the perfect look for each shot.
• Real-time demonstrations, with live models, so you can see the techniques in action.
• Advice on what to look for from an agency before signing.
• How to know you're working with someone legit or not.

Hands-On Experience

This workshop isn’t just about sitting in a classroom and taking notes. You’ll get the chance to get behind the camera, working in small groups with both models and professional actors to put your new skills into practice. The goal is for you to leave the workshop feeling confident and ready to take your photography to the next level!
